Top 10 Most Best Selling Albums Of All Time

The 55th annual Grammy awards airs tonight so we thought it would be suitable to take a look back at the most positive musical compositions in history. Not surprisingly, the popular of the albums on this list have had a solid 20-30 years to rack up millions of sales and rise in the ranks, but a handful are from the last decade alone.

Wonderfully, one female artist was able to crack the the top 40 on this list with an album that was unconfined a little more than one year ago. Can you guess who that artist is? A few truly classic artists like Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Whitney Houston and Madonna managed make the list various times and I bet you'll be surprised by more than one album that you never would have guessed sold tens of millions of copies.

While you're glancing the list, keep this fact in mind: The average artist earns $2 off every album sold. Obviously some artists will have slightly better or worse per-album deals, but $2 is a pretty safe number for the normal major label act of the last 30 years. When you reproduce $2 by the the sales figures below, you really start to understand how successful musicians make so much freaking money. Take #12 on the list, Alanis Morissette's 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" which sold 33 million copies.

That means Alanis potentially earned as much as$66 million off that one album alone. And that doesn't include her radio royalties, touring, merchandise, confirmations and licensing revenues! So without further delay, scroll down to see the best selling albums of all time.

Top 10 Highest Paid Cricketers in the World 2013

Even though most Americans have no idea how the game is played and probably couldn't name a single star player, cricket is truly one of the most prevalent sports in the world. In fact, it could be claimed that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world in terms of TV viewership behind soccer. That stat is especially true when India happens to be playing in the International Cricket Council's World Cup. The 2011 ICC World Cup final match between India and Sri Lanka was watched by an appraised 400 million people. That's four times the number of people who watch the average American Super Bowl. Well, it turns out the World Cup final was actually the second most viewed match of the competition. When India played Pakistan in the semi-finals, an estimated one billion people tuned in around the world! That's enough to make the semi-final match the most viewed television event of 2011, by a few hundred million people.forbes-rich-world-sports-sachin-india-cricket-players-money-earnWhen measuring popularity, it definitely doesn't hurt that cricket is the number one sport in India which has a population of 1.2 billion. Cricket is also enormously popular in Pakistan (population 175 million) Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Bermuda and many other countries around the globe. Bombay-born Sachin Tendulkar is basically the Michael Jordan of the cricket. He is widely measured one of the best batsman of all time, and potentially the best overall cricketer in history. Sachin and the other top players are global superstars who have literally hundreds of millions of fans and huge commendation deals that put them in line with some of the highest paid athletes on the planet. Top 10 Youngest Billionaires In the World 2013

Being a young billionaire. Imagine having all the wealth, privilege and power that comes hand in hand with a 10 figure bank account AND still being young enough to enjoy it for a few decades! The unfortunate reality is that most people who are lucky enough to reach billionaire status, do it when they are starting to enter the twilight of their lives after decades of hard work. That doesn't mean older people can't enjoy being insanely rich, but they enjoy it in a different way. Earlier this week we wrote about Lynsi Torres, the 30 year old billionaire owner of In-N-Out burger who lives in a $17.4 million mansion that has batting cages, tennis courts, a basketball court and much more. Oh and for fun, Lynsi is a professional drag racer. That's what I'm talking about. Then there's the story of 30 year old Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin who lives in Singapore with an posse of beauty queen girlfriends and keeps a $5,000 VIP table at his favorite club open at all times, in case he feels like stopping by. In theory, billionaires like Lynsi, Eduardo and all the others on this list could have another 40-50 years of the high life left to live.
