“Zak” Bagans was born in Washington DC on April 5, 1977, in Washington, D.C. Zak is the lead investigator and host of the Travel Channel TV series Ghost Adventures. After graduating from film school in Michigan, Zak moved to Las Vegas to pursue a career in documentary film making. During his time in Nevada learning his film making craft Zak worked as a DJ and one fateful day he happened to be the DJ at Nick Groff’s wedding and the two struck up a friendship because they both had an interest in film making and in the paranormal.
Zak’s belief in the paranormal began after he saw the ghost of an old woman in his apartment building who committed suicide in the building’s bathtub in Trenton, Michigan. Since the day Zak personally encountered a possible spirit he set out on a life long mission to record and document paranormal events. Because of his initial investigations inf Nevada which Zak gathered with the help of co-investigator Nick Groff and cameraman Aaron Goodwin Zak was able to produce a documentary film called Ghost Adventures, which was later re-titled Ghost Adventures: The Beginning.
